‘We Associate Friday With Something Else’ – Khabib Nurmagomedov Silences Journalist During a Press Conference

Khabib Nurmagomedov last competed in the UFC back in October 2020. The fighter faced Justin Gaethje at the UFC 254 event and won the fight via a 2nd round submission. Since then, the fighter has been retired and has dwelled in various other personal and business ventures.
However, even though ‘The Eagle’ has retired, he still remains one of the most talked-about fighters in MMA. Recently Nurmagomedov appeared for an interview where he was asked about his nightclub experience and whether he goes to clubs on Friday nights.
So a journalist asks khabib Nurmagomedov this question:
"When was the last time you went to a nightclub on a Friday? and what are the things you do on your rest day?" 🤦♂️

Nurmagomedov quickly responded to the question and silenced the journalist with his answer. He said, “When was the last time I went to a nightclub on a Friday? We associate Friday with something else, with the mosque, not nightclubs. I don’t go to clubs.”
“And the rest day, my friends always blame me for not having any rest. Not so long ago, my cousin Usman was planning to go on vacation. But I talked to him and he realized it was too early for him to rest.”

‘The Eagle’ was quick to point that he does not associate Friday with clubbing. Rather, he talked about how Friday for him is an auspicious day that he associates with the mosque.

There have been a plethora of great fighters who have been a part of UFC over the years. There have been greats like Georges St-Pierre, Anderson Silva, and Jon Jones, any of whom can lay the claim to be the greatest of all time.

However, what sets ‘The Eagle’ aside is his ability to dominate any opponent he faced. The fighter never seemed to be in any trouble against any opponent he faced. Add to the fact that Nurmagomedov ended his career without losing any fight in his career, and one can see why he is considered one of the greatest to be a part of MMA.
