The world of UFC is no stranger to intense rivalries and heated feuds. Interestingly, the pioneer MMA promotion has seen some of the most memorable rivalries in all of combat sports. These rivalries often result in highly anticipated match-ups inside the octagon, but occasionally, some disputes remain unresolved. One such rivalry that could not develop into an actual MMA fight was the one between Jon Jones and Israel Adesanya.

It started out when Jones was UFC’s light heavyweight champion, and Adesanya had the middleweight belt around his waist. Although both belonged to different weight classes, it did not stop them from wreaking havoc every time while talking about each other. However, a fight between ‘Bones’ and ‘Stylebender’ did not materialize. Interestingly, now it seems that fans might be witnessing a surprising end to this beef.

And for years it was like that. When I fought Costa, it went really deep! That was a time it could have happened. But I don’t know what happened, scheduling, or COVID reasons. I fought Jan.”
