Thereafter, Haqparast mentioned his urge to see Dana White host a UFC event in Africa, especially in the North African nation of Morocco.

A few months ago, the executive vice president and the head of international and content, David Shaw, mentioned that the UFC was working on its plans for an expansion to Africa. He stated the many factors that depend on Dana White’s promotion’s move to Africa, to which Nasrat Haqparast had a suggestion.

The UFC Vegas 83 victor was asked if he had any plans for fighting someone after his impressive win over Jamie Mullarkey. He did not seem to have any plans to fight anyone as of now, but he will consider it down the line. Nasrat Haqparast said, “I don’t have something in my mind, [a] specific date, you know.” Rather, he had another idea in mind.

The 28-year-old expressed his wish to see the UFC come to Morocco, which he claimed to be his second home. Haqparast believes that the country has everything that the promotion needs in order to put on a great show for the fans. This could be Dana White and Co.’s opportunity to host an event on the continent of Africa.

“I really wish the UFC to come to Morocco. Morocco is my second home now. We have a great infrastructure, we have everything needed for a UFC event there, for the first UFC event [in] Africa,” said Nasrat Haqparast. He even suggested that the UFC follow the same route that FIFA took for its event.

Haqparast suggests that Dana White follows the same route as FIFA

13 years ago, the FIFA World Cup came to Africa, with South Africa becoming the first nation from the continent to host the world’s biggest sporting event. Similarly, Morocco is also on its way to doing the same when the sporting event marks its 100th anniversary. Nasrat Haqparast did not fail to mention that as evidence of why Dana White should consider a move to the North African nation. He stated, “Actually the FIFA World Cup, the biggest sporting event in the world is coming to Morocco for 2030.”

Haqparast believes it is time for the UFC to make its mark in Africa. The lightweight star claims that 2024 is the perfect year for Dana White to consider making that move, and he is willing to headline the event. “I think it’s the right time for the UFC to make the move to Africa. Let’s say [in] the beginning or the middle of the year to Morocco, it would be amazing… If the UFC wants to put me as a headliner, I would greatly appreciate it,” Nasrat Haqparast added.

With the PFL announcing their expansion to Africa, the UFC could follow suit as well. Dana White has already had a great year in terms of revenue earned by his promotion, and he could look to add a move to Africa as one more feather in his cap. We will have to wait and see how things pan out in the months to come.
