UFC commentator Joe Rogan talked about a key difference in traditional sports as compared to combat sports/MMA. The veteran MMA analyst had Packers quarterback – Aaron Rodgers – on his famed The Joe Rogan Experience podcast. The football player talked about dealing with the negative side of media lately when this discussion came up.
The Green Bay Packers player mentioned getting cold-shouldered by the media. Rogan responded to it and said, “Some of those reporters are such c*nts. It’s like there’s a thing in sports where there, it’s way less of it in MMA; But there’s a thing in sports where it’s part of the course to be a douchebag to players.”

The JRE host believed regular individuals considering sports people as privileged could be the reason for it.
The standup artist continued, “If there’s a drop ball or there’s a play that doesn’t go well, you can say all sorts of personal things about them and disparage their characters and call them lazy and call them entitled and all these different things, they love to do.”
The 55-year-old addressed that it was not an unknown phenomenon for sports fans.
“They are not good reporters. They are not like brilliant people,” Rogan further criticized the reporters. He added, “They have just found this thing that they do. They just act like a c*nt.”
As Rogan told Rodgers, in MMA, this scenario is way less, and there is a reason for it.
Joe Rogan is right about the MMA media!
MMA is not one of the traditional sports that is being played for centuries. The sport of MMA is in its raw stage. And even the MMA media is young.
Besides, fighters are not the best choice to put fingers on chiefly after a loss. Thus, unlike sports media, MMA has a more subtle space for reporters dealing with cage fighters.
