However, both these giants never competed against each other. Arnold was the pioneer and made the sport popular with his extraordinary physique, whereas Ronnie carried the legacy forward with his consistent performance. Arnold’s career dates back to the 1970s, whereas Ronnie started his bodybuilding journey in 1990. The two-decade-long phase completely changed various aspects of bodybuilding. Contestants became more educated about exercise, nutrition, and technology. Ronnie said, “Every era is different. They got the stuff now that I didn’t have when I completed”. The interviewer asked Ronnie to compare both of them in a balanced situation.

Ronnie also had a similar notion about Arnold’s iconic career. The King told, “He has been able to hold the title for so long, that adds to his level of greatness”.
