Never has been a bodybuilder who suffered numerous injuries in his career than Flex Wheeler. Recently, he underwent surgery to repair his left rotator cuff. As fans wait for an update, Wheeler took to Instagram to share an update about his health. Struggling with pain for a long time, he gave an update after his successful recent surgery. As the 2022 Mr. Olympia is upcoming, he is excited to see the show.

 

He mentioned in an Instagram story, “Post-surgery pain is a lot more bearable this time around.” Fans would be happy to see the sparkling news as Wheeler is in recovery. Despite that, he spoke about his mental health struggles because of the extent of the surgeries and injuries he faced.

Flex Wheeler remains a strong-willed person

Wheeler continued“But I’d be lying if I didn’t say this is all very depressing. I’m sick and tired of being sick and tired. For years, he suffered various injuries and problems in his career. In 1994, he suffered a major car accident which could have resulted in paralysis.

 He suffered from an aggressive kidney disease called Focal Segmental Glomerulosclerosis. The doctors updated him on how there was no cure for it and would need a kidney transplant. “They told me that I had the most aggressive kidney disease known to man and there was no cure. They also told me my life was hanging in the balance and I would need a kidney transplant,” mentioned health experts.

Despite suffering from depression, robberies, an amputated leg, and various other troubles, he remains excited about the 2022 Mr. Olympia contest. He continued, “Olympia time now baby, let’s go.” The event will take place from December 16 to 18th at the Zappos Theater in Las Vegas, NV.
