Lindsey Vonn is indubitably a top athlete. Everybody knows of her prolific skiing career. Not only does she stand as the sole American woman to have achieved four World Cup overall titles, but she has also attained a total of 82 World Cup wins, with only Ingemar Stenmark of Sweden, with 86, surpassing her.
But that’s not all. As a self-proclaimed adrenaline junkie, Vonn hits the gym pretty hard. She followed an intense training regimen when she was actively competing and went through many rehabilitative therapy sessions, courtesy of her injury-filled career. So how can anyone beat her?

Lindsey Vonn on competing with Tiger Woods
For about three years, skiing sensation Lindsey Vonn was in a relationship with golfing legend Tiger Woods. The two called it quits in 2015. Being at the top of their sports, their relationship drew a lot of media attention. In an interview with CNN in 2014, Vonn opened up about their competitive nature.
“I have a hole in one but he’s a pretty good skier,” Vonn said, comparing their proficiency at the other’s sport. “We’re highly competitive, so we’re competing at every single thing we can. Unfortunately, he holds [the] record in ping-pong. I have only one victory to I don’t know how many hundreds [of] times he’s beat me.”

That’s right. Lindsey Vonn and Tiger Woods have gone head to head in multiple sports, but the tough-as-nails skier only defeated him in one. Vonn continued, “He’s pretty much better than me at everything except skiing.”
Coming from a champion in an extreme sport with three Olympic medals and 20 World Cup titles to her name, it is certainly high praise when Vonn claims, “Unfortunately, he’s the winner of the two of us.”

The two decorated athletes were a power couple when they were dating. Before Lindsey Vonn began dating the golf legend, she tied the knot with Thomas Vonn, a fellow skier, and separated four years later in 2011.
Vonn’s stint with Tiger Woods was one of her high-profile relationships. The pair met at a charity event in 2012, hit it off, and announced their relationship a year later through Facebook. Vonn wrote, “I guess it wasn’t a well-kept secret but yes, I am dating Tiger Woods.”
She also announced their split in a similar fashion. Vonn took to Facebook once again to inform the world of the end of their relationship. “After nearly three years together, Tiger and I have mutually decided to end our relationship. I will always cherish the memories that we’ve created together,” she wrote on the social media platform. “He and his beautiful family will always hold a special place in my heart.”
