She pens,“A bruise on the leg is a hell of a long way from the heart.”-Herb Brooks, Miracle // So we are now thoroughly past the bone bruise situation & I’m so proud of how the past few weeks have gone & very ready for midseason racing. Time to put on the long boards! Train don’t stop”

Her words convey optimism, strength, and a forward-looking attitude for the game. More than numbers, what matters is that athletes want to take the outcomes despite giving their hundred percent. And Shiffrin every single time wins in that. Therefore, she stands tall even after her recent disappointment.

Shiffrin slashes to third spot on Mont Tremblant 

Italy’s Federica Brignone secured her first World Cup triumph in two seasons with a win in the women’s giant slalom. Mikaela Shiffrin claimed third place. The venue was a twist.
