A born winner, Usain Bolt hated losing; his eight Olympic gold medal haul is unlikely to meet its successor. After the 2008 Olympics and the 2009 World Championships, he ruled the track and field with his charisma and talent. However, during the 2012 London Olympics trials, a certain Yohan Blake from Jamaica defeated him in both the 100 and the 200-meters races.
This led to a shift in focus, as now Usain wanted to win the race at any cost. Heading into the 2012 Olympics, it was the first time that Usain was not the favorite for gold. Hence, training twice as hard, he reversed those concerns and put an end to all the naysayers.
