“Those Last 14 Seconds…”: US Olympic Legend Michael Johnson Slams Fiasco Finish in Dallas Cowboys vs San Francisco 49ers Game

The last 14 seconds of a recent NFL game showed why the sport provides great entertainment for the fans. Notably, the Dallas Cowboys lost their NFL wild-card match against the San Francisco 49ers in a dramatic fashion. 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo made a host of errors in the game, but luckily, did not get punished. As his side won the game with an interesting finish towards the end, even former athlete Michael Johnson couldn’t help but address the obvious.
During the last 14 seconds of the game, an incredible blunder saw the matching ending in favor of the 49ers. Hence, many famous players and athletes responded to their claims. Former coach Tony Dungy tweeted some facts about the game to which Johnson replied.

Michael Johnson puts an exclamation point
Michael talked about the last 14 seconds of the match that affected the result of the game. Dungy, in the meantime, tweeted some stats during the game that may be important to the outcome of the game.
He tweeted, “Concerning the Dallas Cowboys—let’s forget the last play and the clock. How about giving up 169 yds rushing, giving up 5 sacks, completing less than 60% of their passes, running for only 77 yds, and committing 14 penalties?? That’s more concerning than the last 14 seconds.”

With all those stats in mind, Johnson agreed to those claims but talked about how the last blunder was a significant difference-maker in the match’s outcome. Clearly, Johnson was dumbfounded by the silliness of the play.

With the scores at 23-17 in favor of the 49ers, the game reached its anti-climax. With no time-outs left, the Cowboys had quarterback Dak Prescott running through the middle for a 17-yard gain to San Francisco’s 24-yard line. But, with the clock winding down, the game did not stop, with time running out for the Cowboys.
As the Cowboys were looking to start play as soon as possible, the referee ran into Prescott, causing a delay to touch the ball. By the time the referee touched the ball, the game clock expired and the San Francisco 49ers claimed a sensational victory.
