While Bolt tried to get his soccer career going, his NFL career did not materialize.

This was not because he had a lack of interest; instead, scared of intense physical contact.

Usain Bolt revealed why he didn’t join NFL

According to Uber Facts, Bolt had an offer to play for an NFL team, to become a wide receiver. The wide receiver is one of the most important parts of the offense, for NFL teams. This is because he receives the pass from the quarterback and runs with the ball, which is his basic task; although there are different tactics involved. Significantly, getting past your opponents means a player is fast on his heels and Bolt would have perfected the offense well. However, he rejected the offer because of the hits that football players take.

With all the safety equipment and precautions, players get hit. It is one sport that showcases the physical attributes and athleticism of players. Back when he appeared on The Pat McAfee Show, he talked about what he thought about the sport. He discussed what he thought about the sport and spoke about why he did not play in the NFL.
