The current contract of Aaron Judge with the Yankees will expire after the 2022 season of Major League Baseball. And before he becomes a free agent, the Yankees management wishes to sign a long-term deal and extend his contract. However, that might be a little difficult to achieve, given the plans he has.
Recently, Talkin’ Yanks shared ESPN’s photoshopped image of the Yankees’ star in the NHL side New York Rangers’ gears, and the rumors of him leaving the Yankees sparked even more. A baseball fan was disappointed to see this post by ESPN but at the same time, he suggested that Judge can help the Rangers to lift the Stanley Cup while the MLB is still in the lockout.

Although just banter, Judge played around with worried fans and replied to the post rather positively. Without saying yes or no, he simply suggested that the number 99 isn’t really his thing, and he might need a replacement.
“I wouldn’t be able to rock 99 though! I would have to grab a new number,” said Aaron Judge.

Again, while it is also considered in a light-hearted manner, even if Judge switches his sporting career, he won’t be the first one to do so. Earlier, players like James Riley, Justin Morneau, and Tom Glavine have excelled in both MLB and the National Hockey League (NHL). But that the lockout still stands put, do you think Judge is considering a switch for real?
