The Red Sox vs Yankees war for Seiya Suzuki

27-year-old, Seiya Suzuki has marked his name among the top upcoming players before even making it to any team in Major League Baseball. Notably, Suzuki is the only player in Nippon Professional Baseball history to smash a homerun for the first time when he stepped on the plate in his five consecutive games.

On November 22, he has been posted in MLB from Nippon Professional Baseball League after playing nine seasons in Japan. Remarkably, he is the only Japanese player in history to have over 30 calendar days to secure a deal. However, the MLB lockout has pressed a pause button on his posting window.

Evidently, Suzuki has a lot of feats to secure irrespective of the team he decides to join, and the Yankees and Red Sox wouldn’t want to miss the chance of having him on their side. Interestingly, reports claim, Boston Red Sox is the front runner in the race for Suzuki. If Red Sox successfully gain him, he would hopefully play at the right-field position for them.

Boston Red Sox will reportedly put in a huge offer on his table.

If the Yankees lose to Boston Red Sox in this tussle, the fans would lose their calm again, as they had before the lockout.

The teams can sign Suzuki once the lockout is uplifted. The question remains: do you think the Yankees are going to lose this war against the Boston Red Sox?
