Trea Turner was the star!
Going into the match, the chances of Dodgers clinching the match were slim. Their main competitors in the NL west San Francisco Giants have been performing constantly, hence the team had to step up their game. And Trea Turner did that for his team by scoring a grand slam and a solo home run. Notably, it was his career’s fourth grand slam.

Reflecting upon how he felt after this achievement, Trea said, “It felt good. Just driving the ball, in general, is what you wanna do so. When I get the first one in the first inning, I was pretty happy with driving the ball the other way, which is something I haven’t done since I was here. So that was a good start. And then you know got another big one.”

Turner’s performance was remarkable, as it was a crucial win for the team. If they wouldn’t have won, the Dodgers’ only hope would have been the Wild Card match against the St. Louis Cardinals.
While the team tasted victory, they also faced a setback as their future Hall of Famer Kershaw had to exit the match. Kershaw had to leave the match citing his left forearm injury, the same one that had kept him off-field from July-September.
