25X Powerlifting Record Holder Turns Down a $40,000 From OnlyFans, Says It’s “Essentially Profiting From Vulnerable Men”

As an educator, fitness instructor, and 25X Powerlifting World Record Holder, Dr. Stefi Cohen has always valued the passion for learning and growing from it. She, thereby, combines her passion for bodybuilding with her knowledge of the subject to create engaging and intriguing videos. However, with popularity, comes a range of opportunities of varying nature. In fact, when approached by OnlyFans, she declined their $40,000 money-churning offer, in an attempt to not exploit and “profit from vulnerable men.”

Dr. Stefi Cohen recently took to her Instagram to conduct an Ask-me-anything session with her fans. When asked about collaborating with the platform that would make her a lot of money, she declined. , Here’s what she had to say about it.

“Onlyfans down the road?” the question read, from Dr. Cohen’s Instagram video. She took a minimal pause and answered, “No, I’ll probably never do OnlyFans. I just don’t feel comfortable doing that […] It doesn’t make me feel like I’m a valuable contributing member to society—to be selling my body on a page and essentially profiting from vulnerable men. I don’t feel comfortable doing that. Now, I don’t have anything against women who (small pause) who choose to do that, it’s just not what I consider a honest… making a honest living”.

The question is asked to many women, a sign of the times, who are carving out a name for themselves in the social media or online sphere. Several other women from bodybuilding, combat sports, etc have been made the offer. While some like Ebanie Bridges (Australian professional boxer) and Cris Cyborg (a Brazilian-American MMA fighter) have taken up on that offer and joined OnlyFans, others like Yanyah Milutinović (a fitness coach) and Dr. Cohen herself have declined it.

Dr. Cohen’s decision stems from her personal choice. While she is aware of the money-making potential of OnlyFans, her own “guiding principles”, prevented her from taking the path which she believes is of “least resistance”. Dr. Cohen instead continues to inspire women with her expertise in the subject and with the ‘Hybrid Performance Method’, to make strength accessible to everyone. On one occasion, she even dispelled a long-existing belief.

With a keen knowledge of nutritional values, Dr. Stefi Cohen once debunked an age-old prevalent myth about body weight. She sternly dismissed the idea that there are “good and bad food”, and instead urged to shift the focus to “energy balance”. She has also shared her own weight loss journey, in an attempt to get more women to start their own fitness journey.

While Cohen has been redirecting people towards demystifying “norms” concerning health and diet, her concerns do not end there. Her concern for younger generations is also a contributing factor in her declining the OnlyFans offer. She wrote in her Instagram post, Everything I’ve ever stood for puts education, value, justice, and impact at the forefront of my life. I couldn’t imagine violating what I stand for to make money when I am prepared and capable to get it in a different way”.

Although Dr. Cohen’s statements drew controversy from some factions of society, she is still looking for a healthy debate around the topic—a topic she is majorly covering in her upcoming book “Beauty’s Ugly Side”. A discussion around it is what she believes will benefit everyone, including herself, to learn and grow from.
