The struggles that Arnold Schwarzenegger faced as a young man from Austria are an inspiring story for many. He struggled through poverty to become a worldwide superstar and known all over the world. Thus, he is an inspiration for many to get up from their couch and start working hard. Likewise, he told a story about how he fought through hunger and became successful.

After winning seven Mr. Olympia titles and five Mr. Universe titles, Schwarzenegger became a real estate mogul while entering Hollywood as well. But his path to success was difficult with his humble beginnings back in Austria. In a social media post, he revealed the various hardships he went through, and it is definitely eye-opening.

Arnold Schwarzenegger has had tough situations

Talking about the finer details, he revealed how poor he was at the beginning and not able to afford clothes, food, or even water like other people did. He wore clothes from his brother, had to borrow meals, and did not travel due to lack of money. However, he remembered one situation that melts everyone’s hearts. During a time when he had measles, Arnold recollected a moment when he took a banana peel and ate the leftovers from it.

“My hospital roommate, who had parents with more than mine, had finished the banana he was eating and left the peel near his bed. I had never had a banana before in my entire life, so I thought I would give it a shot and asked him if I could have his peel,” said Arnold.

Staying positive at all times

Speaking about finding bright spots in tough situations, Arnold did it by channelizing positive thoughts in his mind to reach his goals. He envisioned himself sitting on top of famous American buildings and ultimately worked on his dreams and achieved them.

From having no money to having a net worth of $450 million is simply staggering. By entering the real estate market, Arnold became a millionaire while investing in various other fields to improve his income. The struggles he went through are incredible, and right now, he is a wealthy man. Seem like hard work does pay its dividends.
