Recently, IFBB Pro, Ian Valliere, showed his far-sightedness when he replied to one of his Instagram followers. In a Q&A session by Valliere, he was asked about his decision to not compete in the Arnold Classic 2023. Valliere responded with the reasons he had in mind and why he was not up for the challenge this year.

Bodybuilding Pro decides not to compete in Arnold Classic 2023
For a sportsperson, a year consists of a limited number of opportunities to show their best. Similarly, in bodybuilding, there are a few competitions in a year where a bodybuilder can display their best physique and conquer the titles. Mr. Olympia and Arnold Classic are the most prestigious titles with hefty prize money that follows after conquering them. However, Ian Valliere decided to drop Arnold Classic to concentrate on what lies ahead.

In the Q&A session, a fan asked, “Why not enter the Arnold? Would compete for top 3.” Valliere replied with the reasoning and wrote, “I’ve already been 2nd at the Arnold. I’m not going to beat Nick right now so I ain’t winning 300k, so the time can be used much more effectively imo.”

He knows his current conditioning might not be enough for him to break his current best, which is the runner-up position. Therefore, he decided to concentrate on his conditioning and wait for the right time to dive into competitions.
