Even after years of retirement, Arnold Schwarzenegger continues to inspire his fans through the medium of his monthly newsletter, The Pump Daily. In the latest edition, he sheds some light on a particular workout strategy designed by a notable strength coach from Norway. It was brought to public attention around the mid-2000s.

The bodybuilding legend pointed out that time-efficient workouts hold immense potential. This fact is widely in contrast to what fitness athletes and enthusiasts believe. Therefore, he aims to educate people through his publication. Here’s what it unveiled.

Arnold Schwarzenegger promotes shorter but effective workouts

According to the report, the 75-year-old icon revealed that the duration of workouts doesn’t impact the results. He claimed to have been stressing about the fact every week. “Just because a workout is short doesn’t mean you can’t see amazing results…So we’ll keep sharing difficult but time-efficient workouts to show you what’s possible,” he stated. Thus, Schwarzenegger shed light on Norwegian coach Borge Fagerli’s age-old creation, Myo-reps.

Basically, it is a training technique that yields better results within a short period of time. It read, “Myo-reps are a strategy created by Norwegian strength coach Borge Fagerli in the mid-2000s.” The strategy cuts down on unnecessary reps from workout sets and optimizes the potential effectiveness through shorter training.

In terms of training jargon, Myo-reps is a rest-pause workout protocol. Moreover, it functions best for single-joint exercises and joint movements. However, a shorter exercise doesn’t mean one may apply it only on days with a tight schedule. A week-long or full training timeline is recommended to yield enhanced results. Likewise, Schwarzenegger recently illustrated that plant-based milk is not as nutritional, contrary to popular belief.

Arnold Schwarzenegger spilled the truth about dairy alternatives

In a prior edition of his newsletter, the Austrian Oak bluntly stated that plant-based milk like soy, almond, or pea is not as nutritious as dairy. “Plant milk might win popularity contests, but there’s still something to be said about the nutritional benefits of dairy,” he wrote. Schwarzenegger stumbled upon a new study “which examined seemingly every plant-based option on the planet.”

Therefore, the Terminator actor based his revelations upon that and stated, “most plant-based milk does not meet proposed nutrition standards.” However, he mindfully denoted that the claim mustn’t be misinterpreted as bad. The study revealed that plant milk simply lacked nutritional content compared to dairy milk.
