Recently, Arnold’s son, Joseph Baena, revealed the pressure he used to feel about living up to the expectation of people of being the legend’s son. Moreover, he revealed how he has strengthened in the last year or so.

The DWTS contestant, Baena, recently opened up regarding the same. He stated, “The message that I wanted to get across was, there’s a lot of people out there with very accomplished parents… and it’s scary. It’s scary to get compared to these giants, and to have the feeling like you need to live up to these expectations.”

However, Baena has evolved in the last few years. He further added, “It’s been a huge growth year of me finding out who I am and really being secure… confident… no matter what the challenges are, what the comparisons are. This year has been a big year of feeling… and knowing I don’t need to live up to anyone’s expectations but my own.” 

Baena recently recreated Arnold’s Hercules character on DWTS

Joseph Baena is currently participating in “Dancing With The Stars”. He recently performed the ‘Hercules’ themed Charleston. Indeed, Baena felt really excited about performing on his father’s debut character in the movies. Moreover, he loved the discussion he had with his father regarding his performance as Hercules.

Baena is an excellent dancer. Other than being an absolute fitness freak, Baena has become an outstanding dancer, thereby adding a talent that his father is not known for. In addition, Arnold loves Joseph’s dance performances in the show and he appreciated his moves that he personally feels impossible to do.

It is very difficult to live up to the expectations and be compared to the legend. On the other hand, Baena has learned to react and live his life without the extra weight of comparison and expectations. Baena certainly has the potential and the determination to succeed. Moreover, the guidance to reach big in his life with Arnold being around him. It will be interesting to watch his escalation in life.
