Gregg Valentino, A.K.A. The Synthol King is a famous bodybuilder. Valentino did natural bodybuilding for most of his life. However, when he felt that wasn’t enough for his career, he used steroids, as an experiment. And after using it, he converted his 21″ biceps into 27″ massive biceps. Henceforth, he got his alias, The Synthol King.

However, Valentino had to leave bodybuilding in 2001 when he got caught dealing steroids. He got arrested for the same. Valentino has always been a raw, bold, and outspoken person. So once he got out, he was appointed as a writer at Muscular Development Magazine. In 2009, he opened up with ESPN and presented his points on the use of performance enhancers.

People know Gregg Valentino for talking openly about whatever he has on his mind. He did the same in an interview with ESPN in 2009. While talking about performance-enhancing substances, Valentino made a straight mark on the day-to-day consumption of a performance-enhancing substance by most people in the country.

Valentino said“The world would shut down tomorrow if we took away the ultimate performance enhancer: caffeine.” He continued, “If you stopped everybody from drinking their coffee, taking caffeine, I bet you tomorrow half the people wouldn’t be able to function.”

The throat cancer diagnosis shocked Valentino

Gregg Valentino was diagnosed with cancer in 2020. Valentino was first diagnosed with a tumor, but he preferred a second opinion that led him to know there was something more serious. After removing the tumor, he had further tests to confirm the success of the treatment.

However, the test results revealed the growth was cancerous. And more cancerous cells were in the body. Furthermore, Valentino went through multiple surgeries for his treatment. However, the diagnosis shocked Valentino, as he had never smoked a cigarette or had marijuana in any form. Gregg did not even have alcohol, for that matter. The results were shocking for The Synthol King, but he stood firm before the challenge.

Gregg Valentino supported the usage of performance-enhancing substances, and he saw every such material as the same. Hence, he made the statement of investigating caffeine, too, if the other substances were under vigilance.
