Born to the wealthy and extremely popular Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver, Katherine Schwarzenegger also became part of the limelight. In an interview with E! News, Katherine Schwarzenegger described her upbringing amidst her parents in the limelight. Describing her mother Maria Shriver’s vital role in her upbringing, Katherine held nothing back about her relationship with her.
Katherine made these revelations, reacting to a question where the reporter quoted Shriver’s statement that she felt invisible married to a big international star, later asking Katherine whether she was surprised. Maria Shriver made a statement to the newsfeed named Today, describing how she felt invisible when she stood next to her uncle Kennedy or next to Schwarzenegger. Responding to this question, Katherine gave a strong reaction, implying how her mother wasn’t invisible in her and her siblings’ lives.

Katherine Schwarzenegger’s unique take on her upbringing
Katherine implied that she was not surprised after knowing that her father was a big international star. Later, she praised her mom, saying, “My mom is so amazing and open with us all the time.”
Adding to this, she told how her mom was great at communicating about everything. Continuing, she gave her opinion, “And I think that’s why she raised us the way she did because she had a very clear understanding of what it was like to grow up from a wealthy family.” This indicates how born in the Kennedy lineage, Shriver used her experience of growing up in a rich family to bring up her children.
Further, Katherine expressed how she had a “very private upbringing.” Later, once again praising her mother’s parenting, she remarked, “So it works out very well how she ended up, you know, having us kids and that she was able to be transparent with us growing up.” Clearly, Maria’s honesty about her and Schwarzenegger’s fame helped Katherine to adjust better to her surroundings and people’s expectations while growing up. This wasn’t the only time Schwarzenegger’s eldest daughter spoke about her upbringing. Once, she told how her parents’ upbringing had inspired her.
