And it is not a question that the former bodybuilder, actor, and governor’s words also inspire his children.

The seven-time Mr. Olympia’s son Patrick once opened up about quitting marijuana on social media. Patrick uploaded an image of himself on Instagram and narrated how Arnold inspired him to quit smoking marijuana.

Arnold Schwarzenegger’s golden words helped his son towards a healthy life

On April 21, 2019, Patrick Schwarzenegger posted an image on Instagram. He captioned the post “FUN STORY” and narrated the incident with his father that led to him quitting marijuana. “Few years ago (more like 3ish ) [I] showed up lil high to Easter brunch,” wrote Patrick. However, Arnold understood what his son had done and asked Patrick why he had smoked marijuana.

“I dunno makes thing more fun,” replied Patrick. “How much more fun do you need to have, life is so good,” said Arnold. The bodybuilding champion also said he was high on life. Patrick’s father also said he took nothing that would intoxicate him and alter how he experienced life. “Being high on life is better then anything else,” the former governor advised his son.

Arnold didn’t get angry with his son. Instead, he tried to show Patrick a different perspective. His father’s words of wisdom stuck with Patrick, who wrote he hadn’t smoked since that Easter. “Happy & healthy & can’t thank god enough to see another day!” wrote Patrick.

Patrick has also shared other stories about Arnold in the past. Earlier this year, he shared a quirky story about the former Mr. Olympia. In June, Patrick appeared as a guest on Jimmy Kimmel Live, hosted by Sean Hayes. The actor revealed his father doesn’t use a phone and refuses to text anyone. The only way to get a hold of Arnold is through FaceTime on his iPad.

Arnie’s son also said the former politician has the first phone he bought and uses it to this day. Patrick described it as a brick that can flip open, and Arnold uses it in his car.
