“I Almost Died”: Popular YouTuber IShowSpeed Escapes a Near-Fatal Injury

Since the trend of creating videos inside the gym has begun, not only informational and positive videos are trending, but also the gym fails. A popular YouTuber, Darren Watkins Jr, A.K.A. IShowSpeed, gained massive attraction with his gaming videos and extended live streaming. Moreover, he also creates lifestyle-based videos, which are also appreciated by his fans. As IShowSpeed was performing another extended live on 21st March 2023, millions saw him escaping a near-fatal injury to his chest.

IShowSpeed’s stunt almost cost him his life

In the nearly two-hour-long video, Watkins Jr. did several things. He reacted to multiple TikTok videos, played games, worked around with a football indoor, and in the last, did two sets of bench press. Although everything went great in the video, in the end, he closely escaped a near-fatal injury and felt that he almost lost his life.

As the video was getting to the end, Watkins Jr. decided to do a little workout. As he conversed with his viewers, he decided to do bench press. Jr. began with a warm-up set and pressed two reps to start. But as his legs got in the air multiple times, it was evident that his form was certainly not good. However, the viewers got in and asked him to correct his form. Although he is a heavily followed YouTuber, he is also known for his outbursts. And as he read the comment, he shouted at them and said he knew what he was doing. But what happened next shook his world. As he increased the weight, he wasn’t able to lift the barbell. Later, he displaced the weight once again and got ready to perform another lift.

But as he lifted the barbell this time, he couldn’t do more than a rep. As he tried to do another rep, the barbell crashed into him. He pressed it down but couldn’t push it back. The barbell completely weighed on him, and he couldn’t get out. He shouted, “Help! I can’t breathe! Stop, I can’t breathe!” Gradually, in a few seconds, he finally succeeded in pushing the barbell to one side and glided slowly from the bottom. But as he successfully avoided the danger, he sighed and said, “Inshallah! I almost died. Oh, my god! I almost died! Oh, my f**king god! No more again. Chat, should we do it again, bro? Holy s**t!”

The gym fails are extremely dangerous and life-threatening. However, on the other hand, it is surprisingly hilarious for the viewers as well. Possible because of different kinds of approaches made by the gym goers, which leads to the consequences. The epic fails clips are not just uploaded on social media platforms. Moreover, they are reacted on.

Famous bodybuilding personalities like Eddie Hall, Brian Shaw, Ronnie Coleman, Rich Gaspari, etc. react to these epic fails and tell people how to avoid them. As the cameras are on in the gym, it doesn’t discriminate between good lifts and bad lifts. It captures everything it is exposed to.
