Did Arnold Schwarzenegger deserve to win?

Oliva was one of the greatest bodybuilders of all time. He arrived at the contest looking bulky and huge while looking to win the event. From his off-season weight of 270 pounds, he reduced his weight to 240 pounds. Going through their typical routines, officials called them back and forth to set the line-up. He recalled how it was always Arnold and himself. But as soon as they entered the stage, a guy said, “Let’s put them in alphabetical order.”

Was the 1972 Mr. Olympia unjust?

The officials revealed to Oliva how they changed the order because he had faced a ban from the IFBB. Oliva mentioned how they would usually need to send a letter if they ban someone, but he never received one. It completely shook him on understanding how a person can know if they barred him without receiving a letter.
