“I Have Offended People…I Am Deeply Sorry”: Canceled for His Actions in Past Life, Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Deeply Apologetic Comments Resurface

From bodybuilding to acting to politics, the iconic Arnold Schwarzenegger has marveled in every arena he set foot into. Undeniably, a major chunk of his successful career is built on years of hard work and dedication he put into every vocation he chose. However, the legend who is recognized as one of the most prominent personalities in Hollywood was once infamous for his notoriety. Nevertheless, in wake of every abominable reason he made it to the headlines, the Austrian once apologized for his conduct and took the blame for his actions.

After reaching the pinnacle of success in the entertainment industry, the Austrian went on to pursue his interest in politics. In 2003, the 7x Mr. Olympia became the 38th governor of California. However, on the eve of California’s race for governor, the Terminator took the entire responsibility for all the damaging allegations that were pointed in his direction and issued a public beg-pardon saying that he “behaved badly.

As per the report of the Atlantic, just before the announcement of the biggest milestone of his career in 2003, many women came forward to implicate that the bodybuilder had groped them and was involved in many other misconducts. Following this, the Terminator actor issued a blanket apology and stated, “I have done things that were not right which I thought then was playful.

The 7x Mr. Olympia further confessed, “But I now recognize that I have offended people. And to those people that I have offended, I want to say to them, I am deeply sorry.” Not just that, while addressing the crowd of around 1,500 supporters, the Austrian Oak added, “a lot of the stuff in the story is not true…but I have to say that where there’s smoke there’s fire”. Interestingly, he promised his supporters that if he got elected, then he’ll go above and beyond to support women and their rights.

Nevertheless, following the elections, he also took several courses to understand the legal perspectives of harassment, in order to frame new rules for women’s safety and empowerment.

The Austrian once revealed the grind he followed after he became the governor

In an interview with Men’s Health in 2018, the bodybuilding legend pulled off the curtains from what steps he took after he became the governor. The Predator actor stated, “we took sexual harassment courses, to have a clear understanding, from a legal point of view and also from a regular-behavior point of view, of what is accepted and what is not.

The Terminator added, “Looking back, I stepped over the line several times, and I was the first one to say sorry. I feel bad about it, and I apologize. When I became the governor, I wanted to make sure that no one, including me, ever makes this mistake.” Arnold Schwarzenegger was indeed pardoned for all the actions that fabled him in the public, and he went on to serve in office from 2003 to 2011.
