The former governor of California, Arnold Schwarzenegger, has not been a part of politics for more than a decade now. In an interview with The Atlantic, he revealed a call he had with the President of the United States, Joe Biden, at the beginning of 2021. He also revealed the cause of the call was a YouTube video that Arnold Schwarzenegger uploaded on his channel.

Joe Biden’s call to Arnold Schwarzenegger 

In the video by Arnold Schwarzenegger on 6th January 2021, he talked about the political situation in America. However, he first began with a story of Nazis and Jews, which he compared with the incident that happened in the United States Capitol. Later, Schwarzenegger criticized former President Donald Trump. He said, “President Trump sought to overturn the results of an election, and a fair election.

Further, he disclosed that Trump tried to mislead the country with lies. At the same time, he congratulated the power of democracy as they took action in time and certified the election of President-elect Biden. Not only that, but in the end, he assured President Biden of his support for democracy. He said, “Those who think they can overturn the United States Constitution, know this: You will never win. President-elect Biden, we stand with you today, tomorrow, and forever in defense of our democracy from those who would threaten it.”

As Schwarzenegger spoke some strong words in favor of him, Biden FaceTimed the former governor of California to thank him. As reported by The Atlantic, they spoke for a few minutes, as Schwarzenegger offered his services to the incoming administration. Schwarzenegger said, “I told Biden that anytime he needs anything, he should let me know. Absolutely,” said Biden. Although he has never got in contact again with him. However, The Atlantic reported, “In any event, Schwarzenegger gave no impression that he’s waiting by the phone.” 

On the other hand, Schwarzenegger continues to work hard in his day-to-day life and his other businesses. He is working for society by spreading positivity with his newsletter and YouTube videos. Recently, he shared a YouTube video where he revealed a never-before-told story and encouraged people to stop spreading hate. Instead, he appealed to spread love and care among society. Whether Schwarzenegger gets an invitation from the POTUS for his contribution or not, he is doing his part from being where he is.
