“I Will Miss Him”: Arnold Schwarzenegger Mourns the Devastating Loss of an Old Friend

After just a month into the new year, Arnold Schwarzenegger was hit with the loss of another dear friend. On February 4th, 2023, Allan Zaremberg, former President and Chief Executive Officer of the California Chamber of Commerce, passed away.

Zaremberg was one of the close friends of the former Governor of California who took a moment out to pay his tribute via Twitter earlier today.

Another tragic loss hits Arnold Schwarzenegger

In a Twitter note in memory of his friend, Schwarzenegger wrote, “Allan Zaremberg was a California legend. He was a fighter for all California businesses, big and small, and his impact on our state was enormous.”

From serving as a voice for the business community for the current Governor Gavin Newsom, Zaremeberg also worked as an advisor to the legendary Schwarzenegger during his tenure as the governor.

While Governor Newsom officially addressed the sad news earlier today, a crushed Schwarzenegger too added, “He was also a great friend and advisor to me, and I will miss him. My thoughts are with his family and his many, many friends.”

While Schwarzenegger was just getting over his dear friend and partner Jim Lorimer’s demise, another tragic news seems to have deeply saddened Schwarzenegger.

When Arnold mourned the loss of his beloved friend

In November 2022, Schwarzenegger’s close friend Jim Lorimer, Schwarzenegger immediately posted a heartfelt note for his Arnold Classic co-founder. In his note, the bodybuilding great shared his sorrow, and could not believe that he would never be able to meet Lorimer ever again.

However, Schwarzenegger also noted that although Lorimer had passed away, his family and the bodybuilder would carry his legacy forward. Schwarzenegger also revealed that Lorimer was the reason he never thought of himself as a self-made person. Because throughout his career and various professional roles, Lormier was always there to support him.

But, losing two close friends, Allan Zaremberg and Jim Lorimer, within just a span of a couple of months,  must have left the bodybuilder absolutely devastated and heartbroken. Death is an inevitable truth but losing someone to death is a reality that is the hardest to accept for friends and family. It is natural for Arnold Schwarzenegger, who has been hurting for some time to grieve the loss of such close personal friends.
