Kat Poulopoulo gets back at her haters

As per the social media update, the online sensation took a dig at the hatred thrown at her. The snippet featured her showing off her muscles while donning skin-tight gym apparel that complimented her sturdy physique. However, she added a note that read, “If you keep lifting, you’re gonna look manly.” This was the viewpoint of her haters, who felt a female bodybuilder might as well be frail and skinny than look “manly.”

The video was rather a reflection of Poulopoulo’s headstrong personality. Evidently, such remarks don’t meddle with her prime intentions. Nonetheless, she felt it was necessary to address them in public to encourage women to not shy away from heavy weights. Besides, she was not the only athlete who experienced scrutiny for practicing the sport.

A Ghanaian bodybuilder was denounced for her passion

Talking to 3News, Mary Nyarko Omarley, a pro bodybuilder opened up about the persistent hate and trolls hurled at her for bearing a mighty cut-up physique. Deriving her motivation from the gym, her zeal for the sport only grew with time. However, she was bogged down by the negativity around her. Comments like, “Why are you deforming your body? You will never get a man to marry, and you will not be able to give birth,” reached her ears.

Until one day, she channeled her anger to the path of glory. She disclosed that she worked equally on her physical and mental health and eventually learned how to bypass the judgments. Long story short, she is now the first female to ace the IFBB Figure Pro title in all of Ghana and West Africa.
