Arnold Schwarzenegger believes a child should be under the proper surveillance of their parents. However, the situation and the era demand differently. But this is what the Austrian-born legend believed and conveyed in 2014 about the equation.

Schwarzenegger said, “But in America – hello! Both parents go and say: ‘Let’s go to work! We want to have a bigger house; we want to have more cars; we want more TV sets’. But what about the kids? “The next thing is they’re drifting on the streets, involved in juvenile crime, drugs and gangs. Kids are like puppies. They need supervision all the time.”

Schwarzenegger recalled his childhood and the way his mother spent time with him. He said, “One of the things that made me successful was that I had someone there when I was a kid 24 hours a day. My mother was a traditional Hausfrau who stayed at home and took care of us kids.”

Arnold Schwarzenegger is a proud father

Irrespective of his views on the way of parenting. His ex-wife, Maria Shriver, got left her journalist job when he became the governor of California. Although the kids were pretty grown up by then. Nevertheless, Arnold is very proud of each one of his offspring. 

All of them are doing great in their respective fields. The eldest kid, Katherine, is a bestselling author and happily married to actor Chris Pratt. Christina works as an executive producer in one of the franchises for Netflix. Whereas the boys Patrick and Joseph are getting acclaimed in their acting and modeling as well. And the youngest kid, Christopher, completed his graduation in 2020 and is settling in.
