The Austrian stood atop the podium by acing every role that he played in his life. Be it the iconic role of the Terminator or being a proud father to five children, the former governor of California has got everything covered. However, for the Austrian, nothing has been more rewarding than playing the role of a grandfather.

American author and the bodybuilder’s eldest daughter Katherine Schwarzenegger and the Guardians of the Galaxy star, Chris Pratt share two children together, Lyla Maria (2-and-a-half-months-old) and Eloise Christina (8 months old). Nonetheless, the 75-year-old bodybuilder is embracing his grandparents’ phase to the fullest as he never shies away from gushing about his granddaughters. Interestingly, the Terminator once revealed that being a grandfather is “actually a lot of fun”.

Arnold Schwarzenegger enjoys being a grandparent more than being a father to five children

In 2022, the bodybuilder went live on Instagram (now available on YouTube) with his daughter Katherine Schwarzenegger. While making impromptu revelations about his personal and professional fronts, the 75-year-old dished his favorite part of being a grandparent. The star mentioned how much he relishes spending time with Lyla and Eloise whenever they arrive at his home. The bodybuilder stated, “as a grandparent, you’re able to disconnect” with other responsibilities, and “you can put all of this energy” to spend time with the little toddlers.

The Terminator actor then jokingly said to his daughter, “when you’re gone then it’s your problem, you deal with it”. Reflecting upon his fascination with his granddaughters, the bodybuilder conceded, “that’s actually a lot of fun, not that it was not fun raising your kids but being a grandfather that is a really fun thing”.

Clearly, the Austrian Oak is proud to be a grandfather and is fascinated by the recent addition of a new role. Interestingly, Katherine Schwarzenegger also takes pride in watching his dad taking up the role of a grandparent with so much finesse.

Katherine Schwarzenegger revealed the benign side of his father 

The 33-year-old author once pulled off the curtains, showing her father’s love and compassion for Lyla and Eloise. The animal rights activist stated, “He’s very sweet and playful with them. So. it’s been really amazing to watch both of my parents step into the role of grandparents”.

She further added, “My dad’s house is really fun”. Clearly, the Austrian Oak is nothing but elated to step into the shoes of a loving grandfather. For the bodybuilder, being a grandparent “is really an eye-opening thing”. The 75-year-old indeed stood atop the pedestal by pulling off another important role with an amazing flair, don’t you think?
