Millionaire Filmmaker James Cameron Punished Arnold Schwarzenegger for His Behaviour by Taking a Harsh Step Against Him During Terminator Shooting

The Terminator series is one of the best action movie franchises of all time. Much of the credit goes to James Cameron and actor Arnold Schwarzenegger. The duo worked in harmony to create a visual masterpiece for fans globally. However, they had considerable differences in their job.

During an interview, Arnold recalled the conversations he had with Cameron regarding certain scenes in the movie. As a result, Cameron had to make tough decisions regarding the same.

Arnold Schwarzenegger recollects Cameron’s response

One of the things Arnold was concerned about was the movie’s length. To this Cameron stepped in and asked if they could cut his scenes. One of them is where Edward Furlong teaches Schwarzenegger to smile. The Austrian Oak revealed how it needed to be mechanical. “James Cameron cut this scene out and the other one where we took out the brain from the Terminator Norris because I kept complaining to him that the movie was too long,” mentioned Arnold, about the events that followed.

Soon after, Arnold told how Cameron ruled with an iron fist by aiming to take his scenes out. “So in order to punish me, he took out the two scenes that were my scene that each of them was like two and a half to three minutes long. So he said, ‘if you take those two scenes out, then we can save and cut the movie down by six minutes. How about that Arnold?'”, mentioned Arnold.

Cameron revealed another incident

Arnold and Cameron were close friends. They shared multiple memorable incidents. Talking about one of them, Cameron mentioned how Arnold had a genuine problem with the script of the second installment of the Terminator. He did not kill anybody, and that came across as a problem. During the movie, Arnold does not kill anyone apart from the antagonist, Robert Patrick.

Cameron creates the whole package in a way that the Terminator doesn’t kill anyone in the movie. He recollected how people think of that as unique.

Arnold is usually involved in action hero movies and creates havoc wherever he goes. This perspective came out as a surprise, and the film worked wonders. By making this single decision, Terminator 2 became one of the greatest sequels ever made. Fans would probably regard it as one of the finest action hero movies of all time.
