Frank Zane is a legendary professional bodybuilder. He was not known for his massively built physique. However, he was one of the most aesthetically perfect-looking bodybuilders. The American bodybuilder won three consecutive Mr. Olympia titles from 1977 to 1979. Arnold Schwarzenegger broke his winning streak in 1980, Mr. Olympia.

However, Zane once defeated Arnold in 1968, Mr. Universe. Zane has won several titles, such as Mr. Universe three times, Mr. World, and Mr. America as well. Zane is currently 80 years old but looks fit. Once in an interview, he talked about not fearing death and the afterlife.

Frank Zane believes the exit vehicle has to be good

Death is an inevitable truth of life. Life has to end on a deathbed, no matter how strong or joyous one has lived life. As people grow old, they start thinking about the pattern of death. 80-year-old Frank Zane once opened up about his take on death. Does he fear it? Or take it as an invincible end of life?

Once in an interview, Zane said“I am not really that afraid or fear passing away. I just don’t like thinking about the gap I will leave. Like with my wife, leaving her and all that behind. I mean, I know there’s something else but the fact that you have to leave and that everybody has to leave.”

Furthermore, he added, “Nobody gets out of here alive, but we have an exit vehicle. That’s the thing… is what I wanna make sure that my exit vehicle is as good as it could be and I wanna take the rest of my life to build it into that.”

Frank Zane began lifting weights pretty early in his life. He was just 14 when he started gym. However, during his peak in 1977-1979 he showed that being massive isn’t important, but the muscle definition and quality matter. Unfortunately, after 1979, Zane got surrounded by multiple injuries and eventually had to quit professional bodybuilding in 1983. 

However, Zane has gathered immense knowledge about bodybuilding and life in his 80 years of life. In an interview in 2021, Zane provided some tips for people going to the gym. He said, “Everyone needs a concrete objective, write down specific goals.” Moreover, he suggested measuring the progress they make “before, after, and along the way.

Frank Zane answered the question of death very elegantly, just like his calm and composed nature. Zane’s aesthetic body is one of a type. He gained a huge following with his absolute physique. Zane seems clear about the concept of the death and afterlife. What are your thoughts on this subject?
