Injuries are one of the most common incidences in an athlete’s life. No athlete would have ever competed without having an injury often. When you push your limits, your body reacts to that. Similarly, in the recent past, Chris Bumstead pushed his limit while working out his quad on a leg day. As a result, he ended up hurting his quad and having an injury.

A few days ago, Bumstead let his fans know about an innovative therapy for his quad injury through his YouTube channel. He revealed, “I am gonna be using this (technique). Do you know what it’s called? Our trainer Eddie at the gym. It’s like a ‘stem electric shock machine’ that you wrap around your legs when you train.”

He added, “And it like tenses the muscle and it’s meant for like injury and like contacting your muscles harder without putting stress on an injury so I’m gonna try that out. See if it kills me and save my knee for a workout, get some blood moving in there, hopefully, recover even better and also get big legs working.”

An injury that took away the 2018 title from Chris Bumstead
The recent injury is a minor one and could be dealt with by therapy. However, before the 2018 Mr. Olympia competition, Bumstead suffered a serious health issue. Moreover, it even cost him the title that year. After the competition, he revealed that he got hospitalized in LA after he felt something unusual in his legs.

Chris Bumstead got really frightened by that incident. He said, “I was holding so much water in my ankles I could push on them and it went in like an inch and my shins I was so watery and I didn’t know what was going on. I taught, maybe my food was a little different. I kind of pushed it away, dealt with it.” This shook up his chances in that year’s competition as he gained weight and the incident declined his physique.
