Son-in-Law Chris Pratt Reveals Grandfather of Two, Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Nickname at Home

Hollywood superstar Chris Pratt is married to the bodybuilding legend Arnold Schwarzenegger’s first-born, Katherine Schwarzenegger. Thus, it makes him a close relative of the former bodybuilder and a grandfather to their two kids, Lyla and Eloise. Recently, talking to Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show, Pratt disclosed an adorable nickname for Schwarzenegger that iterates his role as a grandfather.

The interview surfaced on April 1st on YouTube, where Pratt candidly spoke of the icon playing a cool grandfather while flaunting his cigar obsession. Here’s what he said.

When talking to Fallon, the 43-year-old star was enquired about his daughter’s grandpa, Arnold Schwarzenegger, “ And how’s grandpa?” Moments later, Pratt answered that Schwarzenegger has a nickname, “He goes by Opa… you know he’s Austrian, in German, Opa is grandfather in German…” The 7x Mr. Olympia became a grandfather for the second time after the Wanted actor and Katherine gave birth to their baby girl, Eloise in May 2021.

Furthermore, speaking of that moment, the Guardians of the Galaxy actor said, “And when you’re part of bringing his granddaughter into the world, he comes and brings you a cigar: Let’s go out and smoke these.” Hilariously presented, Pratt claimed he gave in to the peer pressure despite being asthmatic. “And so I go, and I smoke the cigar, and I’m like: This is good… oh yeah. Cohiba? Nice,” he recalled. Moreover, he disclosed that he suffered a serious lung infection the following day.

Pretty fascinated, Fallon amusingly mimicked Arnold’s voice and recounted his custom of smoking cigars. “He loves his cigar… he came on the show, and he taught me how to smoke a cigar,” the host revealed. Instantly agreeing to his revelation, Pratt confessed, “There’s nothing manlier than Arnold Schwarzenegger smoking a cigar.”
