A couple of days back, she posted a detailed Instagram post where she spoke at length about people’s recent unhealthy “obsession with weight loss.”

Sharing her knowledge with her 1 million Instagram followers, Dr. Cohen remarked how “the obsession with weight loss has lead us to become undernourished, over-fat, and under-muscled.” Adding more, she also shares her recommendation as to how one should be focusing more on “building muscle than on losing fat.”

Explaining her point further, she remarked, “you can be in a perpetual body recomposition cycle where you are adding lean mass to your frame, slowly shifting your fat to muscle ratio.” Apart from sharing such insightful details, Dr. Cohen also posted a series of pictures of herself. In the shared snaps, she was seen lifting weights. It is, however, not the first time Dr. Cohen has spoken about the importance of diet.
The time when Dr. Cohen smashed a myth that surrounded diet
A few days back, Dr. Cohen shared another post where she heavily came down on people who believed there are “good and bad foods.” Contradicting the popular beliefs with her logical reasoning, she remarked that during the weight loss journey, the most important factor that needs to be considered is “energy balance.”

Sharing how one can lose weight, even without being overly restrictive about diet, in her Instagram post, she wrote, “We’ve been misled for decades.” To spread more awareness of bodybuilding, Dr. Cohen hosts an online coaching platform- the Hybrid Performance Method. She thus works proactively to find the most effective ways to compile the benefits of bodybuilding, powerlifting, and weightlifting.
