“This Is Your Most Dangerous Stunt”: Millionaire James Cameron Once Gave Arnold Schwarzenegger a Stunt That Had Nothing to Do With His Bodybuilding Power

Arnold Schwarzenegger was one of the biggest action heroes in Hollywood. He began his career in acting through ‘Hercules in New York’ in 1970. Although Arnold got recognition at the international level with his 1984 movie, ‘The Terminator.’ He has performed tons of dangerous stunts in his movies throughout his career. But a few years back, his director friend James Cameron revealed the dangerous stunt Arnold performed.
James Cameron is a highly-rated director. He has directed massive films like ‘The Terminator’, ‘Aliens’, ‘Avatar’, and the list goes on long. Cameron and Schwarzenegger share an excellent bond as they have collaborated on several successful movies in their career. Cameron once revealed a scene that he found the most difficult for Schwarzenegger.

Arnold Schwarzenegger overcame the toughest stunt successfully
Arnold Schwarzenegger and James Cameron know each other pretty well. In the 1994 movie, ‘True Lies,’ they once again collaborated. However, they knew each other strengths but decided to challenge each other’s skills and get another angle to explore them. Cameron included Tango in the script for Arnold with Tia Carrere.
All those life-risking stunts were on one side and Tango was on the other side. Nevertheless, the actor took the challenge and learned to tango. Cameron said in an interview in 2019, “Just as Schwarzenegger mastered some new steps in front of the camera, Cameron faced his own learning curve. ‘Arnold knew I could handle the action, but I’d never done a comedy!'”

“He Would Have Beaten Anybody”: Arnold Schwarzenegger Once Opened Up on Lou Ferrigno’s Biggest Career Mistake
Cameron added, “So I came up with crazy stuff like him doing the tango with this exotic girl he meets at this mansion party. I sent [Arnold] the script, and in the margin I put an arrow next to the tango and wrote, ‘This is your most dangerous stunt.’ I think he took it to heart, because he did learn how to tango!”
Arnold has an impeccable connection with movies
Even though the series of success began with bodybuilding for Schwarzenegger, the movies gave him a different level of stardom. Arnold had a great time working in movies. The challenges different movies brought him made him better throughout his course as an actor.
Now, the veteran action hero is going to debut in a television series soon for Netflix originals.

He was a part of several exceptional movies. From action in ‘The Terminator’ series and many more to comedy in movies like ‘Twins’, ‘Junior’, and so on. However, Arnold went away from acting while he was the governor of California from 2003 to 2011. But he came back soon after he ended his governor’s run.
Arnold and James made each other better and have been doing outstanding work together for decades now. They portray synergism in their respective jobs when they work together on a project.

Indeed, tango wouldn’t have been an easy task for the bodybuilding legend, as it demands the opposite of what Arnold is capable of. But Arnold took the challenge given by his director and did a fine job to bring it to the big screen.
