While one flips the page of an automobile catalog, a car that grabs their attention is the Hummer. Earlier known as Humvee, the US military used it in 1989 in Panama. The rugged muscular look and its impeccable stability saw the customers going crazy to get this machine. Likewise, Arnold Schwarzenegger wanted one in his garage. But, it was not a straightforward task.
AM General specially designed the cars for the military and did not sell them to the public. However, if Arnold visualizes something he wants, he usually has a 100 percent success rate. Not only did he turn into a sensational action hero, a shrew investor, and an able governor, he was the first person to get a hummer. Putting his vocational skills to a positive effect, he played a crucial role in bringing the car to the market.

Thank Arnold Schwarzenegger for the Hummer!
Although the company did not produce the car for the public, Schwarzenegger convinced them to rethink their strategy. The Humvee replaced the Jeep in 1983, and Arnold first glimpsed it during the shooting of Kindergarten Cop. The colossal machine was a perfect match for the seven-time Mr. Olympia winner. It was enough for Arnold to want the automobile for himself. But, the negotiations proved to be difficult.
He recalled, “It’s a military vehicle that they use. It replaced the Jeep in 1983. Basically, it’s an upgraded Jeep, and it’s a very durable vehicle. It’s the best 4-wheel Drive in the world, but it only is available for the military. So I called him one day, and I said, ‘Listen, I would like to have one of those vehicles,’ and they said, ‘You can’t have it!'”
