The legendary bodybuilder Arnold Schwarzenegger turned politician after he retired from bodybuilding. He won his last Mr. Olympia title in 1980. However, it was much later when Arnold entered politics. Arnold actively participated in politics from the 1990s at the state and national levels. In 2003, he got hit by an egg thrown by someone from the crowd.
This incident happened during a rally when he stood for re-election for the governor. However, he won the election and became the governor of California. But, this incident revealed that everyone doesn’t love the megastar.

Anyone can get annoyed with such an incident and reply angrily. However, the legend who was going to step up as a governor did unlikely. Instead, Arnold gave an epic reply to the man who threw an egg on him. Arnold said, “Well, this guy owes me bacon now, I mean there is no two ways about it because I mean you can’t just have eggs without bacon”
Arnold’s reply was encouraged by many people. He had a yet again blockbuster entry in politics, just like his bodybuilding, business, and acting career. His loyal fan following has been positive from the beginning of his career.

Arnold Schwarzenegger’s political career
Although Arnold Schwarzenegger’s political career began in the early 90s, he became governor for the first time in 2003. The Austrian-born bodybuilder received U.S. citizenship in 1983. Firstly, he was appointed as Chair of the California Governor’s Council on Physical Fitness and Sports on the President’s Council.
Schwarzenegger became the 38th governor of California in November 2003 in a recall election. Moreover, he served as the governor of California till January 2011.
