Hafthor Bjornsson is among the strongest men in history. The Iceland native is the third most decorated strongman in history behind Lithuanian Zydrunas Savickas and Polish strongman Mariusz Pudzianowski. However, Hafthor is the only strength athlete to win three prestigious events in the same year. In 2018, Hafthor won World’s Strongest Man, Europe’s Strongest Man, and the Arnold Strongman Classic.

“Thor” also had a short but successful boxing career after retiring from competitive strongman in 2020. His knockout win over strongman rival Eddie Hall was his most significant victory. However, “Thor” is indicating a comeback. He is regularly updating fans on social media with training clips. In one such clip, Hafthor exposed a product hiding the core ingredient from the front label.

The former champion educated his followers

In one of his latest Instagram stories, Bjornsson showed his fans a mayonnaise jar. “You can never trust what they say in the front,” said Bjornsson at the beginning of the video. The former champion drew his followers’ attention toward the label. “This here says made with extra virgin olive oil,” said Hafthor. However, the front label didn’t disclose the core ingredient.

Next, “Thor” showed the backside of the label. However, the ingredients list revealed how much extra virgin olive oil was in the mayonnaise. “When you look at the back… and 75% grapeseed oil.” said the World’s Strongest Man champion. However, the extra virgin olive oil content in the mayonnaise was only 5%.

Bjornsson didn’t sound pleased the company had hidden the key ingredient on the front of the label while highlighting a minor one. “What a f***g b***shit! What a f***g c***!” said the World’s Strongest Man winner before the clip ended.

Diet is an essential part of an athlete’s life. Maybe that’s why “Thor” didn’t like the company manipulating information. Although Hafthor isn’t competing, he has recently teased a potential comeback.

Hafthor Bjornsson participated in the Rouge Invitational 2022 on October 30. The event was Hafthor’s first event since announcing his retirement in 2020. After two and a half year hiatus, Bjornsson set a new world record. During the event, the former World’s Strongest Man tossed a 56 lb weight with one hand over a bar.

Hafthor performed the throw three times. On his last attempt, the former champion threw the weight 20 Ft and 3 inches, comfortably clearing the bar and setting a new world record. Hafthor uploaded the video to his YouTube channel.
