The star has often put up his hilarious perspectives as a taller-than-average person, thus entertaining fans. However, in a surprise giveaway for fans, what he thought was special, turned into an outlet for angry fans to lash out.
Bjornsson announced a competition and giveaway in a collaboration with Transparent Labs. Participants needed to challenge their mental and physical capabilities to complete the Hafthor’s Summit Challenge. 9 challenges in 30 days issued by none other than ‘The Mountain’- sound fun? It sure did to Bjornsson’s fans, who looked forward to winning a trip to Iceland as a reward. However, the surprise didn’t go as planned. While fans happily agreed to sign up for the challenge, many realized that it wasn’t for everyone.
The challenge was limited to people from the US and Canada only. This made fans from other parts of the world sad and frustrated. Many took to the comments section to inform others about the bizarre terms and conditions and vent out. One fan expressed their disappointment by saying, “I was so dissapointed when I saw only canada and US could compete what a shame”.
