Simone Biles‘ decade-long wait paid off, and Antwerp didn’t disappoint at all. The 26-year-old grabbed her 6th World Title this week, sailing on the same boat with Kohei Uchimura. Last month, as she smashed Alfred Jochim’s 90-year-old record to win her 8th US Title, she geared up for another milestone. With a total score of 58.399, the Olympian pushed last year’s world all-around champion to silver. Ensuring to make the most of her time on the holy gymnastic ground, Simone reunited with one of her best mates.
Kyla Ross, the retired artistic gymnastic prodigy, made back-to-back history from 2009 to 2016. Furthermore, she also earned the title of being the first female gymnast to earn Olympic, World and NCAA titles. Though Ross shifted her career path, her exceptional gymnastics journey has inspired many. Being the same age as Biles, she once shared the gymnastic mat with her as well.

With her iconic win at the 2023 World Championships, Simone’s gymnastic life came to a full circle. As amazing as it sounds, the journey is even better from the professional point of view. According to the USA Gymnastics’ Instagram story, the two legendary gymnasts received a huge shout-out for their mammoth presence. The story reads, “back to where it all began” with a purple heart. The emoji well complimented the power duo’s pinkish purple leotards.
Moreover, USA Gym shared Simone’s story featuring herself alongside Ross, embracing each other like never before. Their ecstasies knew no bounds, according to Simone’s caption, which read: “back in Antwerp 10 years later.” She paired the caption up with a teary-eyed emoji and a white heart. In here, Simone also justified the picture well, as the emoji represented their white outfits.
