Simone Biles Takes Up Coaching Role for Younger Gymnasts

The world seems to be a happy place for Simone Biles right now. Along with her boyfriend Jonathan Owens, she is having a good time away from the sport, reaping the fruits of her labor. Undoubtedly, she has trained for years to become the sensational gymnast she is today. However, while on the sidelines now, she has been sharing her wisdom with up-and-coming gymnasts.

With her coaches Laurent Landi and Cecile Canqueteau-Landi out in France, Biles is enjoying being a mentor to young gymnasts who strive to achieve the same feats as her.

Simone Biles coaches young gymnasts

A recent post on Twitter paid tribute to the famous Russian gymnast Aliya Mustafina while drawing comparisons to Biles. It talked about how Mustafina might be coaching young girls in Russia, while Biles is sharing her expertise with young gymnasts back home in America. Learning from Biles, who won four gold medals at the 2016 Rio Olympics, is surely a dream come true for many.

Her stance on mental health issues and their importance back in Tokyo paved the way for many young athletes to come forward and speak about the same. Although Biles is not competing right now, her performances on the Gold Over America Tour also focused on attracting younger talent to the sport.
