Is there anybody who is unaware of Willie Mullins? The great trainer’s horses recently spoiled the horse racing enthusiasts at the Dublin Racing Festival. Once again, Mullins’ name will go down in sports history as the day he won eight G1 races at Leopardstown Racecourse. Fact To File: one of his horses won a race in Leopardstown for the second time in a row, and hundreds of spectators saw all the action.

The 2024 season of the Willie Mullins-trained horse got underway at Leopardstown. There was already a lot of excitement since he had won here before. Frank Berry, racing manager for owner John P McManus, took notice of Fact To File after his rapid wins. Although Berry had some other thoughts to express, he did congratulate the horse with a cluster of compliments.

Since his debut in Belharbour’s Tattersalls NH & Sixmilebridge Mart 5yo Geldings Maiden, where he won in style, Wille Mullins has been Fact To File’s trainer. Even then, the horse has been unstoppable at Leopardstown, taking first place in three of his four races there. According to the X post of Road To Cheltenham, Frank Berry commented on the horse’s recent victory, saying, “I was a little surprised how good he looked.”

Even though there was “only one” horse to defeat, Frank Berry cautioned “not to get too carried away with the win.” Mullins’ horse was undoubtedly the best on the track, but the other horse who “didn’t perform” was something that Berry advised to “bear that in mind.” Everybody in the horse’s management is “looking forward to the future” with the star equine, and Berry was “delighted with everything” about it. It is unclear where the horse will go next at this time. In the interview that followed Fact To File’s victory in the G1 Ladbroke Novice Chase, Mullins was frank in his assessment of the horse.

Just another win to his name

A large number of horses raced in the Dublin Racing Festival under the guidance of Willie Mullins. Along with four other horses, Fact To File competed in the G1 Ladbroke Novice Chase. But only Gaelic Warrior, one of the four horses, was about to run in the G1 event. A massive audience had gathered for a race that included only two horses.

Although they got off to a good start, Gaelic Warrior fell behind Face To File due to a couple of mistakes in the hurdles. While Gaelic Warrior made a horrible mistake in the last hurdle, causing his own rider to fall on the track, the horse trained by Willie Mullins was absolutely flawless and won the race easily in the final stretch. After the race, Mullins praised his horse, saying, “He’s always shown me he’s good.” This G1 victory was a major one for the trainer, who also marked his name another time in the horse racing annals by winning eight G1 events in one Dublin Racing Festival.
