Martial arts champion Jackie Chan has always lived a luxurious lifestyle and has a massive car collection. While this lifestyle cost him a huge amount of money, Chan managed to save $8 million on meals. In his autobiography ‘Never Grow Up.’ Chan finally disclosed how he achieved this feat.

The martial arts champion also told what led to his decision to save on meals. Along with this, he also shared rare insights on how he spent his money. During that time, Chan’s three films, Snake in the Eagle’s Shadow, Drunken Master and The Fearless Hyena, had become huge hits. Due to this, Chan had earned a huge amount of money, which he could spend on anything he desired.

In his autobiography, Chan disclosed how he spent more than 10 million paying for other people’s food. He also explained how he gave expensive presents to people like leather jackets and wine cases. Along with this, Chan also told how he spent extravagantly on buying costly things to show off. Once, he brought seven expensive watches and wore them together to showoff to his stunt team. Later, realizing how lavishly he was spending money, Chan decided, “No big meals out.”

“In 2011, Chan made a surprising comment to a question about who will inherit his massive fortune. “I would rather donate my fortune to charity than give it to Jaycee, “, Chan spoke. Jaycee is Chan’s son. 

His reasoning was that if Jaycee had capability, he would make his own money. Adding, he said that if Jaycee couldn’t do so, he would squander Chan’s money. These views clearly depict how Chan desires his son to be independent and self-sufficient.
