Carlos Correa has undoubtedly been the story for the 2022 off-season. Despite the lockout, Correa has dominated trade discussions and perhaps with good reason. However, now and then, we take a moment to just let it rest; For the players to take a breath and think about things that matter to them, like family. And Correa seems to have taken the time to really reinforce his bonds in the city of Houston.
Setting out an Instagram post with his Astros teammate Lance McCullers and their respective partners, Correa celebrated being appointed godparents together. Could this mean something else, too?

Correa seems to have restated his affinity in Houston. This time forming familial bonds with fellow Astros teammate Lance McCullers and his partner with a new godson.

Lance McCullers was a part of the World Series-winning Astros with Correa. In large part, it is Correa’s multi-varied achievements that are leading to his high valuation. With his offensive and defensive outputs registering as significant figures, he also has the titles to match.

Carlos Correa has been the pursuit that has defined the 2022 off-season. With several teams taking aim at landing the superstar shortstop’s signature, the player is undoubtedly in high demand. Having also taken up the services of super-agent Scott Boras, it seems as though Correa is preparing for a bumper deal. And yet with so much yet to discuss, the lockout has put a stop to some considerations with the superstar.
