Recently, after a spring training game against the Atlanta Braves, Correa partnered with Byron Buxton at the top of the Twins lineup. And the duo showed a glimpse of how much destruction they can cause for any opposition during the 2022 regular season.
Byron Buxton and Carlos Correa shine in the Twins’ win over Atlanta Braves
Almost ten years ago, in 2012, Carlos Correa and Byron Buxton were two of the top picks in the MLB draft. The Houston Astros snagged Correa as their first pick in the 2012 MLB draft, while Buxton headed to the Twins. And now, ten years later, once again the two are united at the Twins.
Earlier on Friday, when the Minnesota Twins played their spring training game against the current world champion the Atlanta Braves, both Correa and Buxton batted as No. 1 and 2 for the Twins. And guess what? The dynamic duo powered the Twins to win 8-7 over the Braves. This was just a glimpse of what they can do for the rest of the season.
