Alex Rodriguez may be one of the most high performing yet controversial figures in baseball yet. The New York Yankees star is looking to re-stablish his image in his second coming as a businessman. Setting up multiple ventures under his A-Rod Corp. umbrella, he’s looking to make it big.

A-Rod was involved with a fair bit of controversy during his career. However, Rodriguez looks to the future with the thought of leaving that behind and moving towards his financial goals with new fervor.

Rodriguez, a shrewd business operator has famously courted advice from top businessmen around the world. His office in Miami has its walls adorned with investment titans as Bill Gates and Warren Buffet. A-Rod also allotted tremendous credit to Magic Johnson. A player A-Rod says set up the blueprint for players to move to team ownership.

Rodriguez said his up and down career in baseball may be one thing altogether, but this is a clean slate to him. Said Rodriguez, “I have a clean slate when it comes to being a father, to being a partner, to being a businessman, to being a friend. So I draw incredible motivation from that.”

A-Rod also spoke about what he has leart from Warren Buffett about investement, “And once we find something, then—and this I learned from Warren Buffett—be disciplined. But when you find your pitch, don’t go for a single or a double, go big.”

A-Rod and his business empire

In a series of conducted interviews, the 46-year-old Rodriguez laid out a vision for a network of businesses under his A-Rod Corp. umbrella. The ventures he has set out build on his success in real estate dating back two decades. A new addition to his portfolio now also include private equity and venture investments, a SPAC and an ownership stake in two professional basketball teams.

Newly eligible for a place in the MLB Hall of Fame, A-Rod will be on the ballot this year.
