Juan Soto is probably one of the best young players in Major League Baseball today. Considering his talent, dedication, and most importantly his age, he might become one of the baseball greats in the coming times.

There’s no denying that the Washington Nationals star is one of the brightest stars in MLB. But his hitting skill is something that put him above all in the league. Notably, Soto did not play for the entire season in 2021.

But even after missing a number of matches in the last season, he created a unique record that sets him apart in MLB.

He shared the podium with Bryce Harper and Fernando Tatis Jr for one of baseball’s most prestigious awards. What is more interesting is that Soto did not play the full season. Despite that, he was one of the top contenders of the NL MVP 2021.

Apart from all these achievements, Soto also created a historical record during the last season. The Nationals’ star walked 145 times in the 2021 season without hitting his 30 home runs. With this, he became the first player to do so in the last 65 years in Major League Baseball.

Juan Soto turned down a whopping $350 million contract

For a player like Soto, no team will have a second thought to play by their side for a long time. And knowing Soto’s skills and worth, his current franchise, Washington Nationals, offered him a $350 million contract.

But the 23-year-old was wise enough to reject the offer and instead, Soto said, he will wait for his free agency in 2024. And only then he will think of any offers. Now with the new season starting from the next month and the expectations from Juan Soto are sky-high.
