NFL legend Marshawn Lynch reveals a hidden side of himself

Marshawn Lynch is famous for being a private person. The popular sitcom “Brooklyn 99” called attention to his trait in one hilarious episode where Lynch appeared in a cameo. Playing himself, the former Seattle Seahawks star refused to speak for a long time until opening up in a funny monologue about pico de gallo. In his interview with Shannon Sharpe, he revisited his chatty avatar and revealed key details from his personal life.

A small clip from the interview was shared on the official Twitter handle “Club Shay Shay”. During the interview, Shannon Sharpe wanted to delve deep into Lynch’s marriage plans. He asked, “Since everybody getting married, what’s up with you?” But in his usual fashion, Marshawn Lynch successfully deflected the question.

The NFL Hall of Famer responded to the question with another question asking, “What’s up with me?” This took Sharpe off-guard, who proceeded to enquire about his relationship with his sister. Lynch recently walked his sister down the aisle when she got married to long-time partner Brandee Sapp. It was especially important for him to mark the occasion with festivities amidst the tragedies in his life.

Marshawn supports his sister’s lifestyle choice

Marshawn Lynch accepted a gig on the adult comedy film “Bottoms” where he played the role of a teacher helping young kids find themselves. Later on, he revealed that he had accepted the role to honor his queer sister. In fact, Marreesha Sapp-Lynch had asked him to take up the role. She said, “From the beginning when he read the script, he said that I came to mind. I was like, ‘Most definitely you should do it.’ I just told him, ‘It’ll get you to understand, get more knowledge about the lesbian community.” Thus, even after retiring from the NFL, Marshawn Lynch continues to use his limelight to bring out a positive change in society.
