In a recent Instagram post by Adidas TERREX, they shared a surprising snippet with brand ambassador Mikaela Shiffrin. In the video, Shiffrin spoke candidly about the weight of the enormous expectations people tend to set for her. She divulged an incident around 2017 when “the expectations climbed so high that when I then won a race by seven-tenths of a second, which is also a monumental margin, people were like, “What did you do wrong?”” Although she won the race, this moment remained with her, and she also confessed how it began to take a toll on her.
